From canapés to extravagant buffets, we can provide delicious and creative menus for your Deck reception. To make the most of our wonderful rooftop terrace, allow your guests the freedom to eat informally – canapés, food bowls, street food or even themed food stalls will provide dishes from all over the world using interesting and carefully sourced ingredients.

If you want to really push the boat out, the fresh, modern architecture of The Deck makes it a great blank canvas for a reception with a difference. The sophisticated lighting system can be used to create a variety of extraordinary and dramatic lighting effects. We can work with our National Theatre colleagues to theme your party as a deck of a cruise liner, with props from the National Theatre, and serve champagne and oysters from a circular bar. Or dress the Deck’s terrace as a quintessentially English garden party with cupcakes, Pimms and cucumber sandwiches.

You can even add a flamboyant twist to your event from our costume hire store. With the choice of thousands of top-quality costumes from past National Theatre productions, there’s no end to the ways you could dress for the occasion.

Function Fixers is my go to team for support with venue finding. All those of us that work in event organisation know how agile and quick footed you have to be to organise them effectively, as people, agenda, budgets, dates change so easily. This did not phase Theresa one bit...we sent email after email back and forth as my venue brief changed regularly, as did finding the right date. Theresa dealt with it with a level of patience I wish I had! And email conversations were always full of detail and fun.

Theresa responded so quickly to my emails, always remaining positive that a venue would fit our needs and she was right. The handover to the venue was done promptly and we are in full swing of event organisation.
